Welcome to the Odyssey Photo Website. Odyssey specializes in images of travel, exotic locations, landscapes, architecture, lifestyle, festivals, historic monuments and landmarks captured by dedicated photographers in a variety of foreign and domestic locations. Odyssey images are carefully edited for relevance and technical and esthetic quality. Plus the Odyssey website uses one of the most advanced keyword systems available, enabling you to efficiently access the most appropriate images for your needs. To make your image search most successful let's take a moment to describe the Odyssey Image Library.

Odyssey offers images from locations worldwide, plus specific geographic subjects in great depth, for example our major collections of Spain, Mexico and the Hispanic World are some of the largest available. Likewise our collections of Asia, Africa, Portugal, Turkey, Chicago, Ancient Cultures and Marine Life are very extensive. Click on our Sample Portfolio (via Home Page) for an introduction to our Major Collections or visit our Image Galleries to view extensive, sample lightboxes of various subjects. Odyssey also has many images outside of our Major Collections; and you will find these listed on our home page under Locations List and Subjects List. Each location or subject is a link that will reveal thumbnails showing applicable images. If you wish, Odyssey can do your research for you. Send us your request and we will create and e-mail a lightbox of images to you.

The Odyssey website does not contain all geographic locations or all subjects, consequently if you do not find what you need, give us a call or send us an e-mail and we will search our originals files or we might be able to suggest where you can find what you need. Also remember that Odyssey is adding new subjects to our collections on a weekly basis so return to us often to see these new images.

USING OUR WEBSITE

VIEWING IMAGES: Do a "Quick Search" (Home Page) for the fastest keyword search results or choose "Advanced Search" for more specific search options, by selecting a format or photographer to refine your search. Either search will result in Odyssey images made visible to you in thumbnails and larger watermarked previews. You can download the watermarked previews for comp purposes. However you must be registered to access unwatermarked images, access the "lightbox directory", request price quotes, plus a variety of additional services.

SETTING UP AN ACCOUNT: Locate "Account" on your search page and register by filling out the Registration Information Form. Some boxes must be filled out, while others are optional, however we can serve you best by giving us as much information as possible. Upon sending your registration form to us you will receive an e-mail reply with your login and password. You will only need to register once. For future visits to our website from the same computer you will automatically be logged in. If you are entering from a different computer you will need to enter your login and password. If you have forgotten your login or password, simply follow our directions and we will send you an e-mail with that information.

Registration will also allow you to use your lightbox manager, your "Advanced Lightbox" features and to receive updates detailing additions to our collections or enhancements to the website.

HOW TO PURCHASE AN IMAGE

All Odyssey Images are copyrighted and "Rights Protected" images; they are not "Royalty Free" images. This means that you purchase a "license to reproduce" an Odyssey image for a specific use, for a price that is based on that specific use.

By registering you have started the process of establishing an approved billing account. Once we have received your registration we will determine how payment of license fees can best be made. One possibility is that billing and payment for your licensing fees can be done in the traditional manner via purchase orders, invoices and payment by company check. Or payment can be done by using a credit card.

To see prices for a variety of basic uses, review our Price Guide which details uses in text and trade books, consumer magazines, advertising, on-line use, etc. If you have any questions or cannot determine a price for your particular use then fill out the "Price Quote" e-mail form and send it to us. We should be able to give you an exact price within several hours. Also the Odyssey staff is always pleased to discuss your request by telephone.

ASSIGNMENT PHOTOGRAPHY
If you are having a difficult time locating an image, consider assignment photography. We have photographers in a variety of locations worldwide that might be able to do this for you. Call or e-mail to us to determine the availability of our photographers for your project.

BOOK AND PRINT PURCHASING
Eternal Spain and Eternal Mexico feature award winning images of the landscapes and traditional cultures of those exciting countries. Signed by the photographer, both books are now out of print and only available through Odyssey.

All of the images that you see on the Odyssey Website are available as fine art prints or murals for domestic and commercial uses. Contact us for prices and payment arrangements. We can then send you a digital file from which a print can be made. Just fill out the e-mail order form or call us directly to start the process.
