Advanced Lightbox Manager
The Advanced Lightbox Manager allows you to create, delete, copy and rename lightboxes, remove multiple images at a time from a lightbox, edit notes and comments, copy and move images from one lightbox to another, rearrange images in a lightbox, email a lightbox, and print a lightbox.

Each lightbox has a comment field, and each image in a lightbox has a notes field. You may create as many lightboxes as you wish, and each lightbox can have an unlimited number of images. However, please note that lightboxes that have hundreds of images may load slowly, so it may be more efficient to split up a large lightbox into smaller ones with similar names.

Note: When using the Advanced Lightbox Manager, a lightbox may become out of sync with the lightbox shown in the calling page. When you close the Advanced Lightbox Manager, the calling page will refresh to sync up the lightbox shown.

Advanced Lightbox Manager System Requirements
The Advanced Lightbox Manager will run on PC and Mac operating systems that are newer than 1994. Compatible browsers are: Internet Explorer 5+, Firefox, Safari, and Netscape 6+. Note that you may have difficulty rearranging images in a lightbox using Netscape. When you select an image, once in a while you may not be able to deselect it. If the problem persists, then you should use a different browser.

Viewing Two Lightboxes Side by Side
You can view up to two lightboxes at a time. In the dropdown that says, "View one lightbox", select the option to view two lightboxes. You will then see two lightboxes side by side.

Creating and Deleting Lightboxes
To create a lightbox, you type the lightbox name in the "New Lightbox:" edit box and click "create." To delete a lightbox, you select a lightbox and click "delete all."

Copying and Renaming Lightboxes
Selecting "copy" or "rename" will pop up a window allowing you to copy or rename a lightbox. When you copy or rename a lightbox, its notes and comments will also be saved to the new lightbox.

Removing Images from a Lightbox
To remove images from a lightbox, check the ones you want removed and click "remove selected." Do not click "delete all" unless you want to delete the entire lightbox.

Editing Notes in a Lightbox
There are two ways to edit notes in a lightbox. One way is to click the "notes" button, which will pop up a window allowing you to change the notes for all the images in the lightbox. The other way is to click the notes icon underneath an image. This will pop up a window allowing you to change the note for the single image.

An image that has notes will have the icon underneath it, and an image that doesn't will have the icon underneath it. Hovering the mouse over the icon will display the notes. After you add a note to an image, its icon may show that it has no notes. Clicking the "refresh" button on top will refresh the page with the correct icons.

Editing Comments in a Lightbox
The comments for a lightbox are shown below its images. To edit the comments, type the comments in the edit box and click "save."

Previewing a Lightbox Image with its Caption and Notes
Click the icon underneath an image, and its pop-up preview with its image id, caption and notes will be shown.

Copying Images from Lightbox to Lightbox
Select a lightbox on the left and another on the right. Check the images on the left you want to copy to the right and click "copy -->." You can do it from right to left by checking the images on the right and clicking "<-- copy." If "include notes" is checked, then the notes will be copied. Otherwise, the copied images will not have notes. If you copy or move an image to a lightbox that already has the image, then the image's notes will be overwritten.

Moving Images from Lightbox to Lightbox
This is the same as copying images, except that you click "move -->" or "<-- move." Also, the images in the "from" lightbox will be removed.

Copying Comments from Lightbox to Lightbox
Click "comments -->" to copy the comments from left to right, or click "<-- comments" to copy them from right to left.

Rearranging Images in a Lightbox
To move an image, select it by single clicking it with the mouse. Then without holding the mouse button down, drag the image to its new location. Then click the mouse again to place the image. The image will always be placed to the right of the image you move it to unless you move it to the first image.

You may use the scroll bar while moving an image. To do this, drag the image to the scroll bar, click down and move the scroll, then release the mouse button and the image will reappear next to the mouse cursor. Note that you can't drag an image from one lightbox to another lightbox.

Each image has a number above it indicating its position in the lightbox. When you move the images around, the numbers will become out of sequence until you save it. Saving the lightbox will reorder the numbers sequentially.

To save the rearranged lightbox, click "save." If you select another screen resolution or remove images without saving the lightbox, you will not lose your changes. If you select another lightbox without saving, then the changes will be lost.

Emailing a Lightbox
You can email a lightbox to a client, and you can give the client permission to change your lightbox. In this case, the user will be able to delete images and change comments and notes. A client does not have to be registered to change your lightbox, and all registered clients can save an emailed lightbox to their account.

Printing a Lightbox
Selecting "print" will pop up a window allowing you to print a lightbox. The pop-up window is a frame set that has selections in the top frame and the lightbox in the bottom frame. The selections allow you to choose how you want the lightbox to look.
